Garden Design.

 

We specialize in small garden design that packs a big punch. Our goal is to create a garden space that shines in the Spring, Summer and Fall, using a variety of perennials, shrubs and trees, as space and budget allow. We love to use native plants in our designs where we can, in an effort to lure birds and butterflies to the yard. No matter the size or the season, a garden should be a beautiful addition to any landscape.

  • Site visit.

    We always begin with a site visit to determine the size and the scope of the project, learn about the client’s goals and desires for the garden, and also assess the lighting and other conditions.

  • Design Plan.

    Based on the site visit and client meeting, we will provide a planting sketch with a list of proposed plants. This list will include anticipated bloom time as well as any directions for care.

  • Install.

    For an additional fee we are happy to purchase and install the plants for small gardens; we recommend a landscaping service for larger trees and shrubs. We are also happy to meet with a landscaper on site to place all purchased plants in the design plan.

  • Using our container services?

    At the end of the planter’s season, we will remove any perennial plants in the container and find a place for them in either your newly designed garden, or another suitable location in your landscape.

This client came to us with an overgrown garden at the end of her property. The prior owner had many useful plants, that had simply taken over the space. We were able to divide several plants and space them out throughout the garden, move several others to a better location, and then fill in with additional perennials and shrubs to create a more cohesive design and a garden that will have interest and color all throughout the year.
